Meet Dr. Chalsey Nelsen, D.D.S.
Dr. Chalsey Nelsen is an experienced and gentle dentist with advanced training in Cosmetic and Implant Dentistry. She is a certified Invisalign provider and implements the latest modern dental technologies, including lasers for pain-free fillings and same day crowns. Dr. Nelsen provides the most comfortable, efficient, and long-lasting dentistry available to patients today.
A graduate of Creighton University School of Dentistry, Dr. Nelsen was an associate at dental practices in Rochester, MN and Madison, WI before opening a successful office in Billings, MT. Settling back in the Twin Cities with her husband and children, Chalsey joined Dr. Spencer at Edina 5-0 Dental and took over the practice when Dr. Spencer moved away from the area.
“I’ve learned from some great mentors and team members, and practiced in dental settings that range from volunteer clinics to mental health and nursing home facilities, from family practices to high end esthetics offices,” said Dr. Nelsen. “These experiences help me connect to patients and better understand their needs so that I can deliver the best treatment for that individual.”
On a personal level, Chalsey enjoys the many outdoor activities Minnesota offers including biking, skiing, hiking, and boating.

The name of our practice, Hälsa, translates from Swedish to “health” or “well-being.” When making interior design choices for our environment, we prioritized simplicity, functionality, and a connection to nature, key aspects of Scandinavian design. Using natural materials such as wood, stone, and organic textiles like wool and linen fosters a sense of calm and comfort, supporting the idea that our surroundings play a significant role in our overall wellness, as well as our ability to relax and exude calmness.
